In an effort to refocus my energy, I'm going to try to note at least one thing that makes me grateful each day until the end of the month. This will be a reminder to myself that what I'm doing counts and that within each and every day there is goodness.
So today, I'm grateful for the wisdom I had to call it quits last night after a crummy run and an inability to focus on my reading. I went to bed early and set my alarm for 5 to finish my reading and exercise in some way. I got up feeling rested, at 5:05. Finished my reading and took Syd for a 30 minute walk. While the daytime temps didn't feel like fall, our morning walk did.

I love it! Gratitude does wonders for the soul -- and things are often so much easier in the morning than at night!
