If only each of you knew how much your presence helped me finish this race!
Thanks, Mom and Dad for getting up early and "sweating" out the day. So grateful to have you at at the start, AND at the Summit (really this was the icing on the cake) and at the finish line. You may think me a little crazy - I think I'm lucky to have folks willing to support my crazy!
Marigny and Rich, for being at Ruxton and Hydro - I was hurting and the knowledge that those people on bikes were MY people not only made me smile, but gave me the extra energy I needed then. Your constant presence cruising down Ruxton really rocked!
Kat and Zach, for the loudest cowbell on Ruxton and for your constant encouragement. Maybe someday I'll try out a road bike....or, well, maybe!
Jane, I was running behind you, as always (at least when we race). Wishing you were on Pikes Peak with me or that I was on Vail Mtn. with you. Thanks for running six grueling and beautiful races so I could train for the Peak.
Karen, for asking me the really tough questions and for training with me for that first marathon. So much to be thankful for since those wet, winter days of 2001.
Thanks, Dani, Jillian, Beth & Staci for many Sunday long runs. I can't wait til we start those again! You give me something to look forward to every weekend!
Rich, Megan, Christy, Ryan, Gordon, John, Jonathan and the PPRR Sunrise Striders - thanks for early morning runs that pushed me to my limit and others that were followed by breakfast & good company.
Alyssa, here's to long runs for your marathon not mine! So grateful to you and Tad for Search and Rescue insight on the mountain and most importantly your encouragement.
I am blessed to live in such an awesome community. Thanks for all your support, friends!
